Avocado and its properties
The avocado is an evergreen, native tree also known as the butter tree. It belongs to the genus Perseus family Daphne and was discovered in the tropics of Mexico and Central America. From ancient times it was cultivated by the natives since its fruit was a component of their diet. 3/4 of the fruit is water and the rest is fatty acids, fiber and small amounts of carbohydrates and proteins.
